Kylo Questions His Connection With Rey – THe Last Jedi

The best sequences in the sequel trilogy, in my opinion, are those that explore Rey and Kylo Ren’s conflict. When their Force dyad is introduced in The Last Jedi, and a phrase from Kylo has such significance and foreshadowing, it becomes even better.

When the two first encounter one other via the Force, Kylo says, “You aren’t doing this. It would kill you.” Not only was this implying that Snoke or anybody else connected the pair, but it also signaled that putting out enough effort into a Force power might be fatal, as it was to Luke later in the film when he utilized Force projection – thus far, the first and only time a character has done so on screen.
