On February 24, 2014, WWE Network, a sports-entertainment-centric platform that would offer fans original programming, pay-per-views, and a vast video library for $9.99, was born as one of the true pioneers of streaming television. Also included? WrestleMania , the yearly sports entertainment event.
Since then, the network has aired live event specials, renowned documentaries, and is now the official home of NXT until it moved to cable earlier this year.
The network altered the company’s fortunes and made it one of the most successful entertainment empires in history. It also allowed fans to connect with the sport’s rich history and ensure that former titans would live forever.
