11 OF 15
The WWE women’s division required the right amount of celebrity presence to take the next step in 2018, when Ronda Rousey joined.
Before, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Bayley, and Sasha Banks had all headlined pay-per-views as the top names in their divisions. To be able to headline the biggest night in sports entertainment, WrestleMania, they needed a star of Rousey’s magnitude.
On April 7, 2019, Rousey entered MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey as the Raw women’s champion, while Flair was the SmackDown titleholder.
Meanwhile, Lynch was the most sought-after actor in the business: The Man and a Lass Kicker eager to take home all of the gold. The three wrote their names into history by main-eventing the year’s biggest event and adding the newest chapter to women’s development together.
The star-studded event concluded with Lynch pinning Rousey in a WWE ring, making her the first to do so.
Within the midst of scorching pyrotechnics, Becky 2 Belts congratulated her colleagues on the program. Her star was built as a result of the show. The ladies celebrated their accomplishments, acknowledging their place in the annals of professional wrestling.
