14. Death Valley National Park, California, USA

The desert planet of Tatooine in A New Hope is one of the most well-known settings in all three Star Wars trilogies. While the events on Tatooine were captured at several locations, some of the most memorable uses of scenery came from Death Valley National Park in California. It is here that we first see C3PO and R2D2 crash land on Tatooine, as well as many scenes between the droids and the Jawas. They had a fantastic variety of beautiful backdrops to select from while filming, including sand dunes, salt flats, canyons, and more.James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay, Southern ThailandRed ivory / shutterstock.com
