12. Royal Palace of Caserta, Italy

The stunning beauty of Naboo was perfectly suited for sale in the prequel trilogy, and it seems that Italy was the ideal location to do it. While the city’s exterior in both The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones was created using CGI, the magnificent interior of the Royal Palace on Naboo is genuine. Filming for both movies occurred inside the exquisite baroque rooms of Caserta’s Royal Palace in Campania, Italy. As its name implies, it formerly served as the home of King Ferdinand I of Naples and dates back to 17th century.View over ruins in Tikal, GuatemalaBrester Irina / shutterstock.com
