The following jumping spider varieties are sometimes kept as pets:
- The bold or daring jumping spider (Phidippus Audax) is around the size of one segment of your finger in length, black with white markings and green or blue teeth. It’s not as retiring as many of its relatives, as its name implies. It is endemic to North America.
- Another native North American spider is the regal jumping spider (Phidippus regius), which is found in Canada and the United States. This large jumping spider creates a silk nest to sleep in.
