The Expanded Universe of Star Wars may no longer be considered canon, but its legendary Jedi from Luke Skywalker’s era that has endured the test of time.
The Star Wars Expanded Universe (or “Legends,” as it is now known) was the first attempt to expand on franchise lore. It was responsible for establishing a large number of fact about the Force, various planets, and specific characters throughout its existence. Following their acquisition of the property from George Lucas, Disney de-canonized it.
However, the Expanded Universe’s legacy lives on, especially regarding the Jedi. Luke Skywalker’s post-Return of the Jedi era introduced some of the most powerful Force users in history. Many of them have become symbols for their personalities, bravery, and even brush with evil.
