The 3 Things You Need To Qualify for The Broward County CARES Act Small Business Grant
Broward County CARES Act Small Business and Non-Profit Assistance Grant Program
The Broward County CARES Act Small Business and Non-Profit Assistance Grant Program is now open for applications. The program is meant to assist small businesses with fewer than 20 workers, as well as non-profits with fewer than 25 workers. The program will be administered through the County’s Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD). OESBD will use local partners to provide free application technical assistance to prospective applicants.
The Small Business Grant will get $25 million in federal CARES Act funds, with an additional $10 million available for non-profits. These funds can be utilized to reimburse the cost of COVID-19-induced business interruption expenditures, such as lost revenue and salaries. Money that you acquire through a crowdfunding campaign is not money that has to be repaid. One-time grants of $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000 are given depending on the number of staff members.
