Adorable baby giraffe delights zoo visitors on his first public appearance for World Giraffe Day

During a behind-the-scenes morning walk at Taronga Western Plains Zoo, a newborn giraffe calf has astonished visitors.

On Saturday, the Dubbo Zoo’s guests were the first to discover the male calf in the long grass just after dawn, only days before World Giraffe Day on Tuesday. The calf’s silhouette was barely perceptible through the fog that hung over the paddock, according to Bobby-Jo Vial, who was leading the walk.
